Posted in Uncategorized

Regarded among America’s “Largest Private Companies” by Forbes, Affinion is a group of affinity marketing firms responsible for some reputable loyalty programs. Its chief executive officer and president is Nathaniel J. Lipman.

Affinion is the successor of the corporation known as Cendant, later renamed Trilegiant. Nathaniel Lipman joined Cendant in 1999 as senior vice-president of its business development arm.

When Cendant became Trilegiant Corporation in 2001, Nathaniel Lipman functioned as senior executive vice-president for business development and marketing. In 2002, Trilegiant’s board unanimously elected him the company’s CEO and president.

One could chalk his high-ranking positions at Affinion to massive experience. Prior to entering Cendant, Nathaniel Lipman led theme restaurant chain Planet Hollywood International, Inc. as senior executive vice-president for strategic planning and corporate development. Before Planet Hollywood, Nathaniel Lipman had been senior vice president and general counsel of House of Blues Entertainment, Inc. and senior corporate counsel for The Walt Disney Company.

Nathaniel Lipman studied law at University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA), which gave him a JD in 1989. He had procured a BA from the University of California – Berkeley in 1986.

Professionally, Lipman’s career began in law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom. Here he worked as corporate associate for some four years.
